Originally designed in the 1950s by Russian Nikolai Federovich Makarov, the Makarova or Makarov is now available as a BB Pistol. Makarov's original objective was to design a simple and reliable medium-powered pistol to serve the needs of the Soviet Forces for a sidearm. The pistol was accepted by the Russian forces in 1951. This Umarex air gun is constructed of metal and serves either as a reliable BB Gun for fun plinking or as a collectors' item.
