The SHOT Show, which stands for Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show, opened for 2010 on Tuesday, January 19th, with crowds of dealers and buyers waiting to get on the show floor. Almost immediately the aisles were filled with those wanting to see the new guns for 2010—the Umarex booth was no exception.
After the gawking at the HK MP5 chambered .22 Long Rifle, the very next migration was to our newest introductions of “Tactical BB Guns”, an HK MP5 single-shot, an Umarex Steel Storm that shoots in 6-shot burst, and

last but not least, the EBOS, which stands for Electronic Burst of Steel, which shoots single, 4-, or 8-shot burst! Look for these new steel BB guns to be available after March.
A lot of Umarex booth-goers were looking for new rifle introductions and were pleased to see the youth-sized Ruger® Explorer. This break-barrel pellet rifle has a length of pull and a cocking effort that are right for youth as well as a nice price.

When the new Umarex Steel BB Speed Loader was spotted by Paul Capello, host of American Airgunner TV Show seen on the Sportsman Channel, he said, “Oh wow, this is one of the most clever ideas I’ve seen at this show.” It can be used to load a multitude of Umarex BB pistols. It comes with four adapters, so loading of BB magazines, like those found in the Walther PPK/S and CP99 Compact, is quick and simple. Get more information on this new speed loader here.
Airsoft demanded some attention early on and throughout the entire show due to Umarex’s introduction of high-end airsoft guns, which include some HK replicas and two offerings under a new brand, Elite Force. These airsoft rifles offer advanced gamers as well as law enforcement trainers rifles that will stand up to field trials and intense skirmishes.

Other notable airsoft introductions by Umarex USA at the SHOT Show were the Combat Zone Stryker—a spring-operated airsoft pistol that resembles a 1911, a new version of an HK MP5 automatic electric airsoft gun, a spring operated HK P30 airsoft pistol, the Combat which is a new CO2 airsoft pistol under the Tactical Force brand and an HK G36C AEG which is offered as an “advanced” airsoft gun. Advanced airsoft guns are a step up from the lower cost guns, but not quite to the level of “elite” all metal airsoft guns.

The Umarex HPP BB Repeater Pistol was one of several new guns unveiled at SHOT Show 2010.

Other notable airsoft introductions by Umarex USA at the SHOT Show were the Colt Defender—an all-metal BB pistol, the RAM 1R and 2R Rifles now being offered in a Dark Earth Brown finish, and two new pistols under the Umarex brand—the SA177 and the HPP (High Power Pistol). These two new pistols have blowback action which provide ultimate realism. One has a polymer frame and the HPP has an all-metal build.
The SHOT Show was a very successful venue for Umarex USA. Buyers and dealers had many positive words to say and you could virtually see their minds in motion when shown the newest airgun products from Umarex for 2010.
