    Description
Image linking to a 360 degree view of the Ruger Blackhawk with scope mounted. The Ruger® Blackhawk is a spring piston single stroke break barrel air rifle with an all-weather composite black stock. This Ruger Air Rifle's stock is ambidextrous (for both left- and right-handers) and has checkered grip areas in both the pistol grip and forearm. The Blackhawk rifle shoots pellets out of its rifled barrel at 1000 fps. Accuracy is a breeze with its fiber optic sights or with the use of the included 4x32 airgun scope. Adding to the Black Hawk Rifle's ruggedness is its blued metal finish and rubber recoil pad. Available in 1000 fps or the easier cocking 490 fps rifle.

    1. Q: How do you properly cock a break-barrel rifle?Cocking a break barrel gun.
A: Make sure the airgun is "ON SAFE". With one hand grasp the top of the rear stock firmly, avoid contact with the trigger, and brace the butt end of the stock against your thigh. Grasp the barrel near the muzzle end, just behind the front sight. Pull downward and to the rear until it comes to a solid stop. You will hear a click indicating that the spring piston has been locked into position (see illustration to right).

      • I Could not be more pleased with my purchase.

" I purchased the Blackhawk for pest control on my acreage in CO. After spending Sunday afternoon attaching the scope and getting used to the spring-gun, double recoil,I got the Blackhawk sighted in. I've had good success reducing the pest pop. around here. "

      • The Ruger Blackhawk Air Rifle

Umarex USA continues to offer economical air guns that perform well beyond the expectations of the average shooter. A great example is the new Ruger Blackhawk Air Rifle — a great rifle for the small game hunter.

Available in two variations, the gun I received was the more powerful of the two. There is a version that features extremely easy cocking, and only shoots around 490 fps with the average .177 caliber pellet. However, as a hunter, I almost always opt for the more powerful versions as long as the shooting behavior is manageable and the cocking effort within the realm of reason.

The Blackhawk Air Rifle features a synthetic, ambidextrous stock that is comfortable for both right and left-handed shooters. The fiber optic open sights make target acquisition easy and quick, handy for when your shooting opportunity on a nervous squirrel or rabbit calls for a fast shot. Or, if you are like me and prefer a scope for finer shot placement, the Ruger Blackhawk Air Rifle comes with a 4x32 scope and mounts included.
