Arkansas Governor Presented With Commemorative Pistol
Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson was recently presented with a limited edition U.S. Marshals Museum Colt Peacemaker pistol by the U.S. Marshals Museum. The pistol, made by Umarex USA, is a commemorative airgun of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver.
The Colt Single Action Army Revolver is also known as the Colt Peacemaker or “the gun that won the west” and has had many famous users including Buffalo Bill Cody, Bat Masterson, General George Patton, and Teddy Roosevelt.
The museum partnered with Umarex USA to produce 500 limited edition U.S. Marshals Museum Colt Peacemaker pistols that included a U.S. Marshal emblem on its grip. Ten of the 500 limited edition pistols were given to the museum for auction sales.
The commemorative pistol was awarded to Gov. Hutchinson in a ceremony that was attended by Fort Smith’s own State Senator Jack Files and State Representatives George McGill, Justin Boyd, and Mat Pitsch.
