World Market Leaders Join Forces : UMAREX Receives GLOCK License

ARNSBERG, GERMANY (September 22, 2017) – UMAREX GmbH & Co. KG (UMAREX) headquartered in Germany receives the first worldwide license from the well-known Austrian weapons manufacturer, GLOCK, for the reproduction of its internationally recognized pistols. UMAREX is thus writing a new chapter in its success story as the world market leader in licensed replica handguns. Eyck Pflaumer, managing partner of UMAREX, summarizes the results of the intensive negotiations, “For years now, the trust between our two companies has been growing and we are looking forward to further developing this relationship with GLOCK. From November 2017 onwards, gun fans will find the first replicas of these famous pistols in outdoor retail locations almost everywhere in the world.”

Founded in 1963, GLOCK has been setting the global standard for handguns with polymer frames for decades. UMAREX and GLOCK are two world market leaders meeting on equal terms, the best prerequisites for a successful partnership. UMAREX will in the future build the famous GLOCK pistols in the categories "Airguns" (4.5 mm / .177) and "Airsoft" (6 mm). GLOCK replicas will be distributed worldwide through sporting goods dealers, except in France and French territories. Umarex USA and the Elite Force Airsoft group of Umarex USA will distribute the world-leading GLOCK pistol replicas exclusively throughout North America. Distribution in the USA is expected to begin first quarter 2018. Particularly attractive for collectors, the license allows the replicas to carry the original markings and be marketed in authentic packaging.

I have been waiting for a glock to be available and just when I was about to give up I see your glock ad and I was just mesmerized I’m so gonna buy your glock and 4 magazines glock is by far the best looking pistol I have ever seen and I hope you guys make it flawless like everything else you have made.

Love the products. My 2 cents..

Hope the new Glock line is about quality first. Machined metal – not die cast, quality composite material, integrated C02 in the magazine, dulled down safety statement on the slide, etc. You know the usual requests!

Additionally, I would happily pay more for these features, like more than the new Beretta 92 price point. I would love to see a pro or target version of many of your replicas that skipped the blowback (rack the slide for single action, long trigger pull for double) with added FPS and accuracy.

Your products are proven and the market seems strong with continued interest. It would be refreshing to see something for a demographic that can afford the premium models.

Ps, more compact models too! Love that Walther PPS!

    Thanks in advance,

    M

I’m really excited about finally being able to own a licensed Glock replica, especially from a company known for high quality replica guns. I’ve got the model 17 pre-ordered and hope the model 19 will follow soon after. I’m sure a lot of hard work went into this licensing agreement and I thank everyone involved on both sides.

I think this kind of agreement is going to usher in a WHOLE NEW growth-era for UMAREX like never seen before. I think with what they will be capable with here now will really seem limitless now! I can’t WAIT to see some of the creative things that are going through the minds of all the creators and inventors over there @ UMAREX! ;-!

This is an awesome opportunity for you guys at Umarex. I would love to see this as a quality product, true to the real glocks with steel slides. Having extended magazines, along with different color schemes would also really expand on this and bring in more customers.

I’m sure you guys are going to get every single person asking this but are you gonna make the glock 18c with full auto. I mean if you do everyone is gonna buy one including me. Thanks. Love the company. Have no complaints about my pistols. I can’t wait to see these new Glocks. Send me the prototype I’ll do some crazy shit with it then a review. Thanks again!

This is great news. Glock will be a welcome brand to the CO2 pistol range. Hopefully Umarex will take a leaf out of Sig Sauer’s book. A pellet pistol with a belt fed magazine could be spectacular. It wouldn’t be difficult to take the design further to a Glock 17 with a 17 pellet belt style magazine that has a spring loaded blocker at one end, causing the slide to lock back on empty. Exciting prospects and looking forward to see where Umarex goes with the next generation of CO2 pistols!

Way to go Umarex. Shows that your quality and high management skills to work together with Glock is a huge step forward for consumers. Thank you. Very excited to see the high quality of Umarex and Glock combined. I sell both products and carried a Glock pistol professionally as a Law enforcement officer and Glock’s quality and dependability saved my life. I highly recommend and use both Umarex air rifles and accessories along with Glock. Win win for both of you. Congrats
