Top 5 Umarex Pellet Guns for 2026

Pellet guns are extremely versatile, extremely fun, and extremely diverse in their power capabilities in the modern era.  Pellet gun shooters do everything from paper punching targets, long range precision shooting, hunting, or pest control. If you were to get just one air gun, a pellet gun would be ideal because nearly any task mentioned above can be done well with so many different pellet rifles. Pellet guns are accurate, powerful, and can be very quiet. Not to mention, many of today’s airguns now have aftermarket support.

So tag along with us as we take you through five Umarex pellet guns that you need to pay attention to in 2026.

The Komplete NCR Rifles

About a year and a half ago Umarex introduced the Komplete NCR air rifle in .177 and .22 calibers.  What made this rifle special was it operates and performs just like a Pre-Charged Pneumatic air rifle except it does this without use of a high pressure hand pump or electric pump. The Komplete utilizes NitroAir– 32 grams of nitrogen gas pressurized at 3600 PSI.  This platform was an instant hit with air gun shooters who were on the fence to buy a PCP. Now you can have PCP performance without having to invest in a PCP style pump. What is significant about this platform for 2026?  We are releasing the Komplete NCR in a third caliber option. This year you will be able to pick up a Komplete in .25 caliber. This rifle will push a much heavier .25 caliber pellet down range for better hunting and longer distance shooting performance.

The Outpost Dual Fuel PCP/NitroAir Rifle

This one is brand new for 2026.  The Outpost is designed from the ground up to be flexible to your needs and ready when you are. The Outpost is only available in .25 caliber, utilizes side lever cocking and an auto-indexing XX shot magazine.  This rifle makes XX FPE and shoots a XX grain pellet at XXX FPS. But it wasn’t enough that we made another PCP that could do this.  We made the Outpost to natively accept our 32 gram NitroAir pre-charged cartridges.  Whether you have a PCP pump or not, the Outpost is ready to be ready when you need it, no matter if the power is on or off.

The Notos Gen 2

The biggest success story in the Umarex catalog for the past three years has been the little Notos carbine. This bumble bee of a PCP air rifle has knocked the socks off thousands of airgunners. Why? It is small and lightweight. It is extremely accurate. It is extremely quiet. It is absolutely ideal for pesting, hunting, and target shooting inside of 65 yards.  Yes, it only produces 16 FPE. It only shoots 780 FPS with a 12 grain pellet. It only comes in .22 caliber.  Yes, unimpressive by the numbers, but wow, how well it works in practice!  There are still original Notos carbines in stock for the first part of the year, but you will need to be on the lookout for the Gen2 version coming later this year. New for the Gen 2 version will be a backwards compatible 15 shot magazine (yes, the new magazine will work with the original Notos!), improved side lever action, bigger tank, higher regulator pressure, redesigned air moderator, more power, and the same lightweight, accurate, and aftermarket friendly platform that was so successful in the first generation. None of these changes are earthshattering and that is for a good reason– we weren’t about to mess with what worked– just refine what was already there.

The Umarex Arrax Magnum

While PCP airguns are all the rage, there are still lots of people who just need and want a traditional air rifle. Umarex has a complete offering of airguns, including traditional break barrel style rifles. The Arrax Magnum is a .22 caliber multi-shot pellet rifle that will deliver 11.9 grain pellets to their targets at 1,100 FPS.  The auto-indexing magazine holds 10 shots and is easily changed out for quick reloads. This super ergonomic rifle is equipped with an all-weather stock and a picatinny rail for mounting the included 3-9X40 AO scope. While those lighter weight pellets are traveling close to or slightly above the speed of sound, heavier pellets will shoot fairly quietly with help of the built in SilencAir moderator. With one box and a tin of pellets you are ready to go with the Arrax Magnum.

The Tusk .357 PCP

The bar is being pushed farther and farther in pellet gun performance.  Airgunners are asking for more power, bigger pellets, the ability to shoot airgun slugs, and large on-board tanks. The Tusk delivers on all accounts. This rifle shoots both pellets and slugs– big, .357 caliber pellets and slugs. With a 6 round magazine in the breech, and 500cc’s of air stored in the carbon fiber tank, the Tusk hits hard and suddenly becomes the right tool for some noteworthy airgunning jobs.  With over 200 FPE on tap, hunting larger game like coyote or feral hogs becomes much more effective. Likewise, shooting long range targets with either pellets or airgun slugs is there to challenge your marksmanship skills as well. The Tusk is a heavy hitter and should be on every PCP airgunner’s radar for 2026.
