Fresh Air and No Pump– The Synergis Elite

Some surprises are good and welcome. Others are not so welcome. For me and likely you, too, surprise expenses are always a downer. Just the other day I woke up to a flat battery in my truck. A “good” car battery these days is well north of $200.  Rats. Such is life.

When it comes to air rifles the historic trend has been to mirror the firearm market. That is to say, you buy a rifle and ammo and you go shoot. End of story. Like the Mitch Hedberg "receipt for a donut” joke- nothing else is needed.

While it may be true that Pre-Charged Pneumatic air rifles have been exploding (figuratively speaking) in popularity in the last decade, the vast majority of people looking for an air rifle are not looking for a PCP. These shooters just want an air rifle that is simple to use, is reliable, and is accurate.

Getting all of these into one gun usually means that the rifle will be oddly expensive or otherwise disappointing. This is where I get to tell you about the Synergis Elite.  This is a magazine fed, under-lever style air rifle that is powered by a single stroke cocking mechanism driven by a T.N.T gas piston.  With 10 shots on hand in either .177 or .22 caliber, the Synergis Elite is an excellent choice for recreational shooting, small game hunting, or pesting. Just add ammo.  Well, I would strongly recommend that you pick up a couple extra magazines, too.  With a rifle like this in your hands, you will want to keep shooting.

Here’s some more details regarding the Synergis Elite:

  • 3-9X40 Scope Included

  • T.N.T Gas Piston Powered

  • 10-Shot Rotary Magazine

  • Picatinny Style Scope Rail

  • Manual Safety

  • All-Weather Stock

  • SilencAir Sound Suppression

  • 900 FPS with standard lead pellets in .177 Caliber

  • 800 FPS with standard lead pellets in .22 Caliber

When it comes to getting behind the trigger of the Synergis Elite, a shooter will find a very comfortable, ergonomic stock.  In spite of this being an underlever rifle, it is not as heavy as you might expect, with the weight coming in at just about perfect.

With the rifle on the shoulder in a proper artillery hold, squeezing the trigger through its first stage will bring the trigger finger to a better than expected 3 lb second stage. This relatively light trigger along with the smooth gas-piston power unit work to make a very sweet shooting and accurate air rifle.

If you don’t want to make the PCP plunge, are put off from the Komplete NitroAir system for any reason and just want an air rifle that performs with nothing else needed besides ammo, the Synergis Elite just might be the air rifle for you.
