Last Minute Gift Ideas for Airgunners

Christmas Last Minute Gift Ideas Blog

If you have ever watched a close football game this analogy makes perfect sense.  There’s two minutes to go in the 4th quarter. There’s time, but not a lot. In this remaining time the game could go either way. Your team could pull it out, but it will take excellent strategy and 100% effort, or you could take the “L” and go home.

You don’t want the “L”. No one does. If you have an airgunner in your life that is hard to buy for, we’ve made a list of some really solid gift ideas, which, if you order in time, will save the day and let you walk away with a big “W”.

First things first. Umarex USA is somewhat centrally located in the contiguous United States. As a result most orders arrive at their destination within 4 business days of being ordered.  It is only when we have addresses in the extreme corners of the country or extreme remote parts of the West where delivery will run into the 5-6 day range.  For customers who live in Alaska or Hawaii, shipping can take anywhere from 5 to 7 days. However, we cannot ship “Haz-Mat” items at all to either Alaska or Hawaii. Haz-Mat items are things like CO2 cartridges, NitroAir Cartridges, and Green Gas.Those items have to be purchased directly from a retailer in the respective state.

Umarex 12 Gram CO2

If an airgunner is into replica BB guns, full-auto airguns, or CO2 powered airsoft– these folks go through lots of 12g CO2 cartridges. Whether you need a little, or alot, Umarex has you covered. We have 12 gram CO2 available in 12, 30, and 50 count boxes so you can fill stockings, little or large.  Click here to find the 12 count, and here to check out the 30 count, and the big 50 count can be found here

Magazines

Umarex Hammer Magazine

It used to be that only BB pistols took magazines, but with the popularity airsoft and, more recently, the rapid expansion of pellet rifles that take magazines, it’s hard to go wrong with selecting the correct magazine for your loved one. Everyone who has a magazine fed airgun wants a spare magazine or two or ten. You can’t have enough!  That said, you will need to know exactly what model airgun the magazine will be for.  Ask for the brand, model, caliber, original magazine capacity to help narrow down what magazine is needed. If you need an airsoft magazine for a GLOCK CO2 or Green Gas model, this can be a daunting task. There is a lot of overlap in the model names and it can be confusing.  In this case it would be best to lean on a more general gift like CO2, Green Gas, or Ammo. Replica BB magazines can be found here, Pellet Rifle magazines here, and Airsoft magazine here.

Ammo

Hornady .177 caliber steel bbs

Logically, and with help from the segway above, airgun ammo is always a winner. Once again, you will need to know a few things like airgun type (.177 caliber BB, Pellet, Slug/Big Bore, Arrow, or Airsoft) and caliber will help in sourcing ammo. Caliber, for lack of a better word, is best used to describe ammo made for steel BB guns, pellet rifles, and big bore air rifles.

Airsoft BBs are uniform in size at 6mm. The only real variable in airsoft BBs is weight. If in doubt, go heavy with airsoft BBs. Typically BBs come in weights that range from 0.12 -0.32 grams.  Anything above 0.20 will be much better than the really light BBs that typically come with airguns. IF you have a really involved airsoft player, you might consider getting some Glow-In-The-Dark BBs that are great when paired with Elite Force Airsoft’s EyeTrace AEGs.

Pellet gun ammo can vary in caliber, shape, and weight. If the shooter has a break barrel pellet rifle, you can vary weights quite a bit, but don’t try to shoot airgun slugs from one.  This type of projectile will likely get stuck in the barrel.  However most Pre-Charged Pneumatic style airguns can shoot about any pellet or airgun slug made for their respective caliber. Umarex stocks a full line of pellets for .177 caliber, .22 caliber , 25 caliber, and .30 caliber.  Big bore air rifles like the Hammer and Primal 20 will take specific slugs or shot cups for each model.  Find .50 caliber Hammer Ammo here and Primal 20 Ammo here

If you are looking for air archery arrows, Umarex sells two varieties, AirJavelin and AirSaber.  The AirJavelin arrows work with the CO2 powered AirJavelin and the PCP AirJavelin Pro. AirSaber style arrows will work in the AirSaber and AirSaber Elite X2.

Time is running out! Ask any questions you may have of your loved ones NOW and get your orders in ASAP!
